Advocates for the Integration of Recoveery and Methadone. They are helping to develop a 12 step based program for people recovering on Methadone. The idea is that methadone is a tool of recovery, not an issue of recovery. (Other 12 step groups such as NA are uncomfortable with methadone treatment and methadone clients often encounter stigma related to their methadone treatment at other 12 step groups.)

AHDAD - A Heroin Dealer A Day

This site was created by a father in memory to his son, who died from a heroin overdose. The site has three main goals which are to help educate citizens about the evils of heroin addiction and the devastating consequences it can have on families, friends, loved ones, and the community; to change the perception of heroin addicts from "so what, they're just junkies" to one of understanding and compassion; and thirdly, to inspire other land owners and farmers to provide recovering non-violent addicts - in exchange for doing chores or helping with farming - with a place to heal and a path to a new life in a drug-free environment.

There is a page on the site called 'Heroin did this' which is very graphic and very shocking, I hadn't realised something that awful could happen from using heroin. It is definitely worth taking a look, as it might shock you into doing something about your addiction, before something like that happens to you. If you haven’t used before or are just starting out, take a look at this page and stop using before its too late.
